Annual Dinner Update- by Arvind Shah

What an enchanting evening with excellent decoration, ambiance, food, entertainment, opportunity to participate in a silent auction of treasured items, and donate for the Kitchen, Classroom and Bathroom construction project. This was the show case at our Annual Dinner on January 20, 2007 where dedication, innovation, talent and commitment were in perfect harmony and a reflection of true team spirit and the power of team work. People, who could not attend, missed a wonderful and uplifting event

Sincere Thanks to my team of Archana Pai, Charu Trivedi, Sujata Hegde, Supriya Joshi, and Uma Vora  who helped from dreaming of an idea, planning and organizing, designing/printing color invitations, posters and bidding cards for auction, food stalls, negotiating for hot delicious food, decoration, creating an ambiance, and collecting donations for auction. Our Master of Ceremony, Rashmi Agnihotri kept us enthused and interested, Jiwan Gupta gave an excellent visual on the construction project, and our fund raisers, Raj Kattar, Steve Jindal, and Sujata Hegde under the mentorship of Vijay Mahajan, Ajith Pai and Vivek Trivedi, convinced community members to pledge and donate towards the construction project. Thanks also go to all other volunteers who displayed their dedication in a team environment for the sustainability of the Temple.

OUR HATTS OFF TO THESE MAGNIFICANT VOLUNTEERS – At the annual dinner we realized $109,754 for the project in addition to previously pledged donation of $79,772 for a total contribution of $189,526.  Our goal for the project is $350,000. So far only 105 Families have pledged. We have over 500 families in our community. There are plenty of opportunities to give to this project by families who have not yet participated. Do donate generously to enhance your temple, your community, your culture, so that you and your future generations may benefit.  Please do send in your 2007 donations earmarked for the Construction / Building project.
